Shilpa to act with Hugh Grant

Yes, you read that right. Writers are working on a script that sees Celebrity Big Brother winner Shilpa Shetty and British actor Hugh Grant star in a romantic comedy on the lines of Notting Hill.

Yes, that’s our own Shilpa Shetty, who became a household name since the time she won Big Brother and there has been no stopping her since. An industry insider told Daily Star the script is about a Bollywood actress (Shilpa) and a producer (Hugh) "who promises to help her crack the British and US markets".

Ummm...seems like Shilpa's crossover film is in the offing. At a recent release of Hugh Grants new film Music and Lyrics at Leicester Square, this Bollywood actress was also spotted. My guess is probably the both of them were discussing how we can include Bollywood music in Hugh next script with Shilpa. This is one film that we should not miss, because wherever there is Shilpa Shetty, there is a controversy.

Shilpa sues ex-manager

Actor Shilpa Shetty has filed a case against her former manager, Jasveer 'Jazz' Barton, who is based in the UK.

Shetty has asked for an injunction against Barton, stating that she had falsely claimed to be her agent, made commitments and signed deals on her behalf while the actress was participating in the TV show Big Brother. "We have filed a case at the city civil court asking for an injunction against Jazz Barton," said Shetty’s spokesperson Dale Bhagwagar.

With Shetty shooting to international fame after winning the Big Brother show, Jazz has allegedly been trying to extract money from her.

She has been sending her legal notices, seeking a cut from Shetty’s earnings, said Bhagwagar, adding that Jazz’s demands were ridiculous, as Shilpa did no longer have a contract or agreement with her. By going to court, Shetty was just protecting herself from Jazz’s illegal claims, Bhagwagar said.

"Due to incorrect media reports, business queries were being misdirected at Jazz, but when we learnt that Jazz had begun signing financial deals and making commitments on Shilpa's behalf, it had to be announced and clarified that she was not the official agent," said Bhagwagar.

NRI's wife blames Shilpa for break-up

Kavita Kundra hit out against the Celebrity Big Brother winner for pursuing an affair with Raj Kundra when they had just welcomed their first child.

The news comes after the stunning actor was spotted shopping with Kundra.

"Shilpa's a cultural icon in the Indian community but she's not what she appears. She can have any man she wants — there are plenty of single men. She didn't need to go after my husband," News of the World quoted her, as saying.

"Raj bragged Shilpa and her family had been sounding him out as a potential husband. I was stunned. Up until then I didn't even know they'd met," she added.

According to reports, things started after Raj went to Bombay (Mumbai) to work on a script and when he got back to the UK, Kavita noticed a change in his behaviour.

"He'd been away in Bombay for a month working on a script. I'd gone to stay with my parents at their home in West Bromwich. But when Raj returned to the UK he sent me a text message, which took my breath away. It read simply - Don't bother coming back," she said.

The 25-year-old also revealed that Raj was keen on bringing their relationship back on track, but suddenly things just fell through.

"I thought I had every chance but the arrival of Shilpa wrecked everything. Suddenly Raj's attitude changed and he wanted a divorce," she said.

Last week, the film producer sent a message to Kavita saying 'Lots of rumours in press regarding Shilpa and me. Dad says press were standing outside house all day asking questions'.

Kavita also said that whenever she tried to probe into the depth of their relationship, Raj avoided her questions or laughed off the topic.

"I texted back saying, ‘Is this your way of telling me?' He just ignored the question. Since then, every time I try to find out the depth of their relationship, he avoids the question, or he laughs," Kavita said.

However, Raj has denied having an affair with the Bollywood star and said that his marriage ended a year ago, and that it had nothing to do with the actor.

"We're just friends. I have a business relationship with Shilpa regarding her perfume. My marriage ended twelve months ago and it was nothing to do with Shilpa," he said.

Shilpa Shetty launches her perfume S2 in London

A swanky central London hotel was the venue handpicked for the high profile launch of Shilpa Shetty's new perfume, titled S2.

The media attention which cramped the chambers of a dimly lit room, decorated with oyster seats, a pink tinge reflecting the glow from the oversized image of Shilpa with her new signature motif covered the rear of the chamber and the front. Press sauntered around the room sipping mocktails and cocktails browsing through their press packs which included a sample bottle of the new fragrance. As interactive media set up, Raj Kundra, the man who has helped bring the perfume to retailers, beamed with joy as he spoke about why this was a momentous occasion for the perfume and entertainment industry.

As Shilpa entered the room was eclipsed by flashbulbs as she took to the podium to introduce her new fragrance. "Of all the five senses, smell is one of the most intriguing," she said. Unlike sight, taste and sound it’s the one that arrives like a surprise and encompasses you sending signals throughout your body conjuring feelings and a reaction that’s unforgettable."

"A scent should live up to its name, appear from nowhere and leave you breathless. You could be in a busy street, be on your way to work in a train or in the office and someone passes you and their scent lingers with you for a moment and in a surreal way, two strangers connect. The fragrance releases across the UK at most high-street retailers from July.
