Indian Movie : Apna Sapna Money Money

Indian Movie : Apna Sapna Money Money

It seems this is a year of comedies. No Entry to Lage Raho Munna Bhai.

Director: Sangeeth Sivan
Producer: Subhash Ghai
Cast: Jackie Shroff, Sunil Shetty, Ritesh Deshmukh, Riya Sen, Celina Jaitley, Koena Mitra, Chunky Pandey
Music: Vishal Dadlani, Shekhar Ravjiani, Pritam Chakraborty

With 11 characters and a dog, Sangeet Sivan, the man behind the cool entertainer KYAA KOOL HAI HUM, is once again here to unleash the laughter monster.

Its all about diamonds baby. A gangster’s moll hides the Diamoinds in her sandal and the assorted eleven characters, not remotely connected to one another, come lusting for it in the end. A fast-paced situational comedy, it is glorified by an ensemble of assorted and interesting characters. The story revolves around a mechanic, a conman, a club dancer, an upright cop, an obsessed father and his homely daughter, a tabela owner, a ruthless gangster, a deadly don and his moll and an unpredictable dog. A journey filled with rib-tickling moments throughout.

Ritesh Deshmukh gets to portray four roles in this movie and he takes to each role with relish, enjoying every bit of it.

Anupam Kher is in terrific form yet again. But his blind act evokes laughs in the beginning but his obsessive love for Sania is nauseating. Chunkey Pandey is fantastic. After watching him in APNA SAPNA MONEY MONEY, all you want to ask him is, Where were you hiding all this while? Rajpal Yadav delivers yet another knockout performance that’s sure to be talked about. Suniel Shetty is lovable as the honest cop.

Amongst ladies, Celina Jaitley is the best of the lot. She looks gorgeous and enacts her role with rare confidence. The girl is gradually evolving into a fine actor. Koena Mitra is alright. But the writer hasn’t done justice to her part. Even Riya Sen is relegated to the backseat.

Personally I feel, in this hectic and stressed life we truely require few comedies so that we can just put our brains to rest for few hours and enjoy life.

Don - Indian movie

DON movie review
Actors
Shah Rukh Khan .... Don / Vijay
Priyanka Chopra .... Roma

Arjun Rampal .... Jasjeet
Isha Koppikar .... Anita

Director of movie Don : Farhan Akhtar
Lyricist : Javed Akhtar
Musician : Shankar Ehsan Loy

I don’t think Remaking an iconic film such as Don, is a good idea. Twenty-eight years after Chandra Barot’s hit movie with Amitabh Bachchan in the role of Don, Farhan Akhtar comes up with a sleek and stylish tribute to the original. This ‘ Don ’ is certainly bigger and bombastic. Whether it is better, is debatable.

Shahrukh Khan doesn’t match up to Amitabch Bachchan’s versatile performance in the movie Don. But yes, it’s great to see SRK enacting a negative character after a long time.

The story of new movie ‘ Don ’ is set in the cityscape of Kuala Lumpur, Paris and India. The Don in the film operates on an international level. Don uses state-of-the-art technology, fights like a martial arts expert and has a zany taste in fashion. He is like an Indian James Bond, but obviously on the wrong side of law.

Kareena Kapoor sizzles in the ‘Yeh Mera Dil’ number in Helen’s place. She looks gorgeous alright.

Priyanka Chopra’s Roma is a tough chick who would do anything to avenge her brother Ramesh’s death from the evil Don. Chopra girl seems to have worked hard on learning the Charlie’s Angels martial-arts-chops and the effect shows. When she is not hunting with the men, she takes time out to scorch the dance floors with her ‘ Aaj Ki Raat ’ shake-a-leg number.

A lean-mean-and-gym-toned physique makes Shah Rukh Khan ' Don ' look a hunky dude that you’d love to watch. In fact, I would love to watch him in this ' Don ' avatar as compared with all the sugary-romances that he has been doing.

‘Don’ is worth a watch for the younger remix-n-sms generation. The movie stays loyal to the plot of the original. But it improvises on the treatment of the story through stylish cinematography, crisp editing, innovative direction, high-octane stunts and special effects.

Don - Indian movie.

Hindi songs - Khosla ka Ghosla

Khosla ka Ghosla - music review

Released by: UTV

Composed by: Dhruv Dhalla and Bapi Tutul

Lyrics: Jaideep Sahni

Singers: Kailash Kher, Kunal Ganjawalla, Sowmya Raoh, Bapi Tutul, Adnan Sami

The album starts with 'Chak de phattey' – a Punjabi number and another vehicle for popularising Kailash Kher. The chorus adds to the pep value of this out and out dance number.

Kunal Ganjawalla sung 'Din din gin gin' in an impressive low pitch. It begs to be heard. It reminds you so much of Gulzar’s lyrics complicated subjective and requiring explanation!!

'Issse pyar kaise karoon' appears in two versions - the first one is fast paced with Kunal and Sowmya Raoh doing the vocals but you notice immediately that the slower version engages you more than the first one.

Bapi Tutul and Adnan Sami team up in 'Ab kya karenge’. Normally Adnan Sami songs become favourites but one wonder if this rather indifferent number will catch on.

Sowmya Raoh's 'Intezaar aitbaar humse pyar' is by far the most listenable number in this album.

‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ presents a common social problem with a delectable blend of comedy.
