Anil Kapoor

Anil Kapoor (born 24 December 1959, Mumbai, India) is an Indian Bollywood actor and producer. This popular and talented actor of the Indian cinema started his career of acting in films with the film ‘Hamara Tumhare’ which came in 1979. The movie was directed by Umesh Mehra and here he had a supporting role. The movie where Anil played hid first leading role was in a Kannada film ‘Pallavi Anu Pallavi’ that came in the year 1983. In Yash Chopra’s ‘Mashaal’ in 1984, Anil Kapoor played a very significant role for which he won acclaim. This film fetched his first award ‘Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award’. Anil has many film industry connections. His father, Surinder Kapoor, is a film producer. His elder brother, Boney Kapoor, is a successful producer whose banner is Narsimha Films.His younger brother Sanjay Kapoor is also a well known Bollywood actor though not as successful .
