Reema Lagoo

Reema Lagoo is a renowned actress of the Indian film industry. She is a Marathi actress who has acted in several Marathi films and Hindi films. In the year 1958, Reema Lagoo was born in Nayan Bhadbhade, and her mother was a famous Marathi stage actress. When Reema was a student at the Huzurpaga HHCP High School in Pune, her acting abilities were noticed. Soon after completing high school, Reema Lagoo joined acting classes. She became a professional actress and her fist acting jobs were on stage where she performed on Marathi plays. Reema Lagoo started acting in the late 70s and early 80s in both Hindi and Marathi films. Reema Lagoo is mostly known for performing as a supporting actor and she is mostly seen playing mother either to the male or female protagonists. Reema Lagoo has acted in some very successful movies on the Indian film industry. She started out with television productions and gradually landed up in acting in some blockbuster family drama. Her most popular serials were ‘Sriman Srimati’ and ‘Tu Tu Main Main’. Her portrayal of a doting mother in most of the films has given a new dimension to the mothers of the Hindi films. She gained prominence as an actor after she played the mother of Juhi Chawla in the film ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’. Then afterwards she has starred in ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’ in 1989, ‘Rangeela’ , ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’. Reema Lagoo has also played a dancer in ‘Aakrosh’ in 1980.
