Vishal Bhardwaj, the skillful filmmaker

Vishal Bhardwaj, the skillful filmmaker is about to start his new film this august. This man of extreme craftsmanship who directed his first film “ Makdee” for the children seems to be experimenting with the Shakespearean dramas by adapting them as the main plot of his film. His first Shakespearean adaptation was “Maqbool”, based on “Macbeth”. After this “Omkara” marked the second of Vishal’s Shakespearean endeavors, which is an adaptation of Othello. There is a rumor in the air that his next film will also be a Hindi version of Shakespeare’s Romeo-Juliet. But he has dismissed all these rumors . he plans to make a love story with Shahid Kapur and Priyanka Chopra. Both his former films,”Maqbool” and “Omkara” have received much critical praise. While Vishal has confirmed Shahid for his forthcoming project, discussions are going on with Priyanka, who is currently shooting in Miami for Tarun Mansukhani's 'Dostana'. Before becoming a film director , Vishal was well known for his writings and music compositions. He met with success, early in his career by composing marvelous music in films like “Maachis” and “Satya”. His music helped him in earning awards like the Channel [V] awards and the Filmfare awards and even the National Film Award for best music in a film called “Godmother”. And now we are all set to see his creative skills in his films also.
