Steve Carell lends voice

After Jim Carry who has lent his voice for the protagonist Horton in the animated film “Horton Hears a Who” it was Steve Carell who has provided the character, mayor of Who-ville of the same film, with his own voice. This fully animated film, which is the first Dr. Seuss adaptation, has this great star of ‘Evan Almighty’, Steve Carell besides Jim. It is heard that Steve might do the sequel to Anchorman, if he is asked to do that by Will Ferrel. Steve’s dramatic and comedic skills had also hit the screen with the film “Little Miss Sunshine”. His character of the Mayor to whom he has provided his voice in “Horton Hears A Who” is a very earnest kind with a good soul who people can easily take advantage of and is not willing to stand up for himself. Steve said in an interview that he and this character Mayor, share some common characteristics and that’s the voice obviously. The Mayor’s voice is a version of his normal speaking voice. He didn’t want to sound like a caricature instead wanted to sound like a real living person through this fictitious character. This character having 97 children is very funny indeed and it must have been a great experience for Steve to voice the character.
