Men are not alone anymore!

If men can, then why can’t women? From opening restaurants to hotels, men have done it all and women seem to follow their footsteps. This is even evident in a popular industry like Bollywood. When popular actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Mithun Chakrovorty and Suneil Shetty have already into business can their female counterparts be far behind? Among the actresses, the first one to start is the former Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen who has set up her company ‘Sensazione’ in 2006. She has plans to make hotels, lounges and spas through her company. In Kolkata, she will be opening open space nightclub, a restaurant and also a cigar lounge in the 12,000 sq ft space she has. Sushmita has even said that she would have been an entrepreneur if she were not an actress. This making of lounge bar in Kolkata is a dream for Sushmita.

Her colleague, Priety Zinta has joined the men’s league by co-owing the Mohali cricket team of the Indian Premier League with Ness Wadia. She wants more women to be active in business. According to sources, film star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has already joined hands with father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan to resurrect company AB Corp. The next in line is Ayesha Takia, who with boyfriend Farhan Azmi will be launching their first hotel on boutique in Goa. Actress Raveena Tandon contributes for the running of her husband’s film distribution business. Twinkle Khanna, wife of popular star Akshay Kumar, and a former actress is already a successful interior designer.
