Brett Ratner with ‘The Incredible Shrinking Man’

Brett Ratner who is well known director of Hollywood and who has given us movies like the ‘Rush Hour’ series is making negotiations for shoot a remake of ‘The Incredible Shrinking Man’. This remake of the movie will be done on the famous Hollywood actor, Eddie Murphy. This movie is an adaptation of the well known novel ‘The Shrinking Man’ written by Richard Matheson. The original movie was released in the year 1957 is a sci-fi film, which was directed by Jack Arnold. The classic starred Grant Williams in the lead role, played Scott Carey, who was contaminated through a pesticide of radioactive cloud and he begins to shrink slowly.
The remake will be an updated version of the classic and will be treated comically. Here a story will be told of the famous magician from Las Vegas who went under a spell for which he begins to shrink and he must find a way to reverse it. The film which is a project of the Universal Pictures was directed by Pete Segal ad Keenen Ivory Wayans earlier. Now, Brett Ratner who has earlier directed some famous movies will direct it. The man behind the lens is now busy with filming a short subject anthology film, ‘New York, I Love You’. He is also busy with a project concerning Hugh Hefner at Universal. Brett is best known for films like ‘The Family Man’, ‘After the Sunset’, ‘The Red Dragon’ and ‘X-Men, The Last Stand’. All eyes are now set on this talented director.
