Hot people in haute couture

Fashion entrepreneurs Pradeep and Neha Hirani launched a 4,500 sq ft Kimaya (the first having opened in Juhu in 2003) at Kemp’s Corner, Mumbai on Friday. The stunning Priyanka Chopra inaugurated the store and the city’s well-heeled attended the grand soiree.

Sanjay Nirupam was one of the first to arrive and like the rest of the guests was amazed at the size and splendour of the store. And it was shopping manna for the ladies -- Devieka Bhojwani picked up a creation in black even as Roshni Damania was helped by husband Parvez to choose from the vast array of designer threads. Elina Meswani, Jaideep and Seema Mehrotra, Azeem Khan, Malini Agarwalla and Pria Kataria Puri were also present. Rohit Bal complimented Chhaya Momaya on her outfit. Designer Pam Mehta seemed to be enjoying herself.

Models sashayed across the split level store in the latest designs. Rhea and Rahul Hirani were just waiting to get their pictures clicked with their fave star, Priyanka. "Kimaya’s success story still has a long way to go," said Pradeep, who has stores in New Delhi and Dubai.
